Roland Td- 9 Garageband
- Gents, As I am quite new to recording, I have a basic question: I have connected my TD-30 Sound Module to my Mac via USB. Everything works pretty fine - GarageBand is recognising my VDrums and I could record them right away. However, I would love to use the drum kit sounds from my TD.

I can record the drums using an audio out cable from the TD-12 brain directly into Garageband, that's fine. However, I'd like to do this using MIDI instead, and I'm realizing that maybe Garageband does not have this capability.. but maybe I'm wrong, am I?
If I am wrong, should I be using Logic Express, or Logic Pro instead?
Any words of wisdom on this subject is much appreciated.

Need some help connecting my Roland TD-11 to my Ipad 3 (first version with 30 pin connector) for using in Garageband. I have the midi to usb cable and the camera connector. At first when I connected it, I got only the bass drum, snare and crash and ride. It sounds all faulty and misses hits.

Import a song from the Music app. To import the entire song, set the current song section to Automatic; otherwise, only the portion of the song that fits the current song section. To get a list of tracks, tap the Tracks View button. Tap the Loop Browser button in the control bar, then tap Music. Import a song to garageband ipad.

I have a set of electric drums, specifically the Roland TD-11 series. I recently bought a MIDI cable and the Midisport 1x1 adapter. So I have a line going from my drum module to the adapter (which is necessarily a tiny box), and the adapter is plugged my Macbook.
I just bought a TD-1K today so as to do some recording stuff through my mac. It is all linked up via MIDI, and all works perfectly, except the edge of the cymbals through garageband. If I hit them more central, it makes the sound perfectly, but nothing registers 1-2 inches away from the edge.

Here's my problem:
When I open garageband and start playing my drums, the Garageband app itself will not recognize the edge of the hi-hat pad AND the edge of the crash cymbals. So whenever I hit the edge of either my hi-hat pad or crash cymbal pad, there is no sound out of my computer. It WILL however recognize the center of the hi-hat and cymbals, in addition to recognizing all of the other pieces of the set (snare, toms, ride cymbal, etc.)
I believe the problem is coming from the Garageband app itself. Whenever I hit the edge of the hi-hat and my crash (the two pads that don't work), there is a green light on my adapter, indicating that it is detecting those sounds.
